Summer Break Down

For anyone who’s doesn’t work in schools, June may seem like the best month of the year.

But, as a first year teacher I can say June was my least favorite month of the year.

Without any experience as a lead teacher, time management got away from me and June ended up being this mad dash for the finish line when it came to end of year projects, yearbooks, graduation, summer camp prep, progress reports, PLEPs, performance evaluations, checkpoints – oh.my.gosh.

It was my fault for letting little projects get away from me, but I got all my ducks in a row to get everything done and took the advice of my master teacher:

“It is what it is.”
